Frequently asked questions
Which book should we start with?
For the English range, start with Pen Control (lines, curves and shapes), then Alphabet A–Z. For Arabic, start with Arabic Letters (Book 1 of 4), then Numbers, First Words, and Days & Months.
I don't speak Arabic. Can I still use the Arabic books?
Yes. Each letter has a name, a sound hint and a picture word written in English letters as a guide. Some Arabic sounds don't exist in English, so if you can, ask a fluent speaker to say the words with your child.
Which Arabic do the books use?
Modern Standard Arabic, the form used in books, schools and classes everywhere.
Why do the Arabic rows start on the right?
Arabic is written from right to left, so every tracing row starts on the right with a start dot and an arrow pointing left. It builds the right habit from the first letter.
What ages are the books for?
Ages 3 to 6. Every child is different, so use the age as a guide.
Can I photocopy pages?
Yes, a parent, carer or teacher may photocopy pages for the child in their care. Please don't share or sell copies.
How long does delivery take?
Books are printed to order in the UK. UK delivery takes 3 to 5 working days and is free on orders over £20.
Can I return a personalised item?
Because they're made just for you, personalised items can't be returned unless they arrive faulty or we made a mistake. Everything else can be returned within 30 days.
Do you offer discounts for co-ops, madrasahs or schools?
